Compare check payment methods
Choose which check payment method to use based on what's most important to you.
- Cost: If you pay relatively few bills by check, printing checks yourself usually costs less.
-
Currency: If all your checks are in USD, print checks in any way.
To print checks in CAD, you can print on preprinted check stock or blank check stock.
To print checks in MXN, print checks on blank check stock.
-
Maintenance: If you print on blank check stock, you need special ink (MICR), a printer that supports the ink, and confirmation from your bank that you properly aligned your checks for printing.
For preprinted check stock, you need separate check stock for each checking account.
- Security: If you're concerned about keeping check stock in your office, consider Vendor Payments powered by CSI for improved security.
