Enter time using activity cards—Sage Intelligent Time

Activity cards are the individual activities that SIT creates based on information it gathers from your connected time sources and then suggests for inclusion in your timesheet. You can only see and assign activity cards when viewing your own timesheet. Activity cards are not available in Staff Timesheets.

In your Time preferences, you can choose whether activity cards are assigned to an existing row or a new row by default.

Before you begin: Connect time sources

  1. Go to TimeAll > Timesheets > My timesheets.

  2. Open an existing timesheet or create a new one.
  3. Drag and drop an activity card from the Activities panel to the Time entries table.

    To assign the activity to a new row, drag it to the top of the list or to an existing blank row.

    You cannot drag and drop an activity card onto a negative hours row. Enter negative time manually.

    Drag and drop is unavailable when using the Sage Intelligent Time and Expenses mobile app.

    When the activity card is dropped, the Assign activity card dialogue opens.

  4. Optionally, adjust the duration of the activity.
  5. Enter the required dimensions.
    If dimension values are selected on the employee record, those values populate automatically on the timesheet. For more information, go to Set default values to appear on timesheets.
  6. Select the Billable checkbox, if applicable.
  7. Optionally, add notes, a description, or assign additional dimensions.

    Next to the Description field, select Draft with AI AssistantBeta to automatically generate a description for your time entry using artificial intelligence. If you manually enter or modify the description, then the button will be disabled. To re-enable it, delete your description. Descriptions that are generated with Copilot display a badge that says "Powered by Ai".
  8. If applicable, select whether you want to merge the activity card with an existing row, or add it as a new row.
  9. Select Assign.

You can view the assigned activity card in the Time entries table by selecting the arrow ("") at the left of the timesheet row.

Intacct does not capture all information from activity cards. For example, email subject lines, calendar meeting titles, and filenames logged by the Time Assistant are not sent to Intacct. The time you spent on these activities and the dimension values you assigned to your time are sent to Intacct.
